An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website through the contact form or any other means, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment or opt-in for text based communication, the comment and or data transmission you provide and its metadata are retained indefinitely, unless otherwise requested by the customer. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How We Protect Your Data
We implement and maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Examples include:

Firewalls and intrusion detection systems

Access control measures (limiting access to data to only those personnel who need it)

Employee training and confidentiality agreements
-
Periodic review and testing of security practices
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100 % secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Breach Procedures
In the event of a data breach (i.e. unauthorized access to or disclosure of personal data), we will:
-
Contain and assess the scope of the breach as soon as reasonably possible.
-
Notify affected individuals in a timely fashion, in accordance with applicable laws or regulations, unless doing so would impede a criminal investigation or otherwise pose a risk to public safety.
-
Report to regulatory authorities as required by law (e.g. state data breach notification laws) within the mandated timeframes.
-
Remediate (patch, strengthen, correct) the vulnerability that led to the breach.
-
Document the breach, our response actions, and lessons learned, to improve our security and prevent future incidents.
If you believe your data was compromised, please contact us immediately using the contact information above.
Third Parties From Whom We May Receive Data
Though we do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing or other purposes, there are certain limited contexts in which we may receive information from third parties:
-
Comment / blog platforms — for example, when you comment on a blog post, the platform (or moderation tools) may provide us with the username, email, gravatar, or IP address.
-
Analytics / performance services — anonymous or pseudonymized data from services (e.g. web analytics) about your device, browser, session, or usage patterns may be provided to us to help us understand site performance and improve usability.
-
Server / hosting providers — technical logs, hosting infrastructure, backups, or security logs may be processed by third-party firms on our behalf.
-
Payment / financing providers — if you engage with financing or payment services through our site, minimal transaction or authorization data (e.g. confirmation, status) may be shared from those providers back to us to confirm appointments or payments.
In all such cases, we only request or accept what is strictly necessary, and we require that those parties protect any data they share with us in a manner consistent with this policy.
Automated Decision Making / Profiling
We currently do not use automated decision making or profiling based on user data in a way that has legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
Any marketing or internal use of data is carried out by human analysis, segmentation, or simple heuristics (e.g. grouping by engagement history). We do not base treatment, eligibility, or automated decisions on profiling or algorithmic outcomes.
If, in the future, we adopt more advanced profiling or algorithms, we will update this policy and provide you with the rights to opt out, contest, or request human review, in compliance with applicable law.
Industry / Regulatory Disclosures & Special Considerations
-
Health / medical information: As a dental practice, in many cases we handle Protected Health Information (PHI) or other medical information about patients. To the extent any federal or state health privacy laws (for example HIPAA in the U.S.) apply, we comply with those requirements (confidentiality, minimum necessary, patient rights, etc.). This policy does not supersede required medical privacy notices.
-
Children’s privacy: Our services and website are intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors under the age of 13. If you believe we collected such data inadvertently, please contact us so we can delete it.
-
Data retention and deletion: We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
-
Access, correction, and deletion rights: You have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data, subject to legal exceptions. To do so, please contact us via the contact information above.
-
Changes to mandated disclosures: If a change in law requires us to share more data or alter our practices, we will update this privacy policy and notify users accordingly.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our Terms and Conditions, please reach out to us via the contact page on this site or our front desk phone number listed at the top of this and very page on this website. Your privacy is our #1 concern!
Thank you
